A George I Walnut Chest on Stand
An Early 18th Century, George I, Walnut Chest on Stand.
The crossbanded, finished and patinated top above finely figured and feather banded drawers, the linings unusually constructed from solid wide boards of English walnut. The base largely original, with the usual historical replacement stretchers and legs.
The piece is of the most wonderful rich, warm colour. Later but in keeping brass drop handles on brass wires.

Depth 25" 63.5cm
