A Geometric Oak Dresser Base.
A 19th century geometric oak dresser base in the 18th century style , consisting of 9 drawers flanking a central cupboard.
The dresser has a plank top with a heavily moulded cornice below, two decorative columns at each front corner with nine heavily moulded geometric drawers and a highly detailed cupboard in the centre. Below is a heavy moulded skirt supported by bracket feet, to the sides are plain fielded panels set within moulded boarders.
On the bottom right hand drawer, a handle has been lost and replace with another loop handle at some stage. There has been some other minor restorations to this pieces commensurate with age.
Overall this piece is in excellent condition and has a very contemporary look, which would suit both a modern and period home.
Provenance: From a private collection in Chipping Norton.
