In very good and original condition and of good faded colour and patina. This elegant sofa table stands end supports with reeded sabre legs and high turned stretcher, it has a single, mahogany lined drawer and dummy reverse side. The top is of well selected rosewood with a single inlaid brass line. The table also retains all its original handles, castors, lock and escutcheon. 720mm high, 860mm wide (closed), 1380mm wide (open) and 630mm deep. Circa 1820. W J Gravener Antiques is a family owned business, started in 1963 by William who was joined by son, Mark in 1981 and continues today with the same ethos of dealing in fine quality English and Continental furniture, mirrors and decorative objects, from the 18th & 19th centuries. Now under the stewardship of Mark and his wife, Louise, we take pride in maintaining the high standards which William set more than 50 years ago.
