A childs Staffordshire pig money box.
A very attractive slipware money box designed as a pig and decorated with coloured slipware. Made at one of the many Staffordshire potteries in the Victorian era.
The slot for the money is on the pigs back and it is in remarkable condition considering there must have been many times that a child tried to get the contents out using a knife or similar object. Indeed the whole pig is in good condition with very minor blemishes caused by use. There is one white spot on the pigs side (please see the photographs) which was a dot of pale slip splashed on during the manufacturing process.
It stands 4 inches or 10cms from snout to tail.
UK post is £5.00. For international post please contact us for a quote. For international shipping, please contact us for a price.
We want our customers to be satisfied with their purchases, so we offer a money back guarantee. Items must be returned within 14 days and in the same condition as sent. Please note that postage and shipping costs are non-refundable.
