A magnificent set of 6 mid Victorian balloon back chairs with a traditionally shaped back support, over stuffed upholstered seats, and turned and carved front legs which are still fitted with their original brass and porcelain castors. These chairs are in outstanding condition for their age circa 1870, with no breaks, no loose joints and no woodworm. All of the original polish is in good order, with just a very small amount of wear and tear. The chairs are upholstered in a green velvet style material with a button design. Sadly, there are a couple of buttons missing, but all of the upholstery is in good order. It would be a very simple take to reupholster these chairs. They are excellent quality, and extremely heavy Victorian balloon back chairs.
