2 x George III Silver Teaspoons, Wm. Weston, 1816
This is a smart pair of George III Sterling Silver Teaspoons in the traditional Fiddle pattern. The spoons have the initials RMC neatly engraved at the top of the stems.
The teaspoons are made in London by silversmith William Weston and date to 1816. William Weston was a specialist spoon maker who was active between around 1808 and around 1835.
Condition is very good, with no dings or dents and just the superficial surface wear that you would anticipate after 205 years of good service! Please make sure to view all the photographs.
Each spoon is 13.5cm / 5.3ins long and the pair together weigh in at 26.7g / 0.94oz of solid Sterling Silver.
The hallmarks on the undersides of the stems are a little rubbed but still clear to read. They show the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the London date letter a for 1816, the George III duty mark and the W.W makers' mark for William Weston.
Shipping in the UK is £4 by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For.
Overseas customers, please ask us about shipping costs to your country before making a purchase.
