2'' thick solid scrubbed oak Monastery table
Very decorative French solid oak Monastery table with a scrubbed oak finish and a 2'' / 5cm thick top, circa 1900. Comfortable 8 seater table
Very solid and sturdy table, great style and with the scrubbed finish, it is perfect for an everyday kitchen diner table.
Good character grain to the top, lots of character and a couple of dry splits ( these are totally secure and nothing of any concern ), generous cleated / breadboard ends with dry joint pegs.
Standing on two sledge feet with a carved niche to each and a very chunk of oak for the brace stretcher.
The table does dismantle for ease of moving / delivering!
The table can remain in the scrubbed finish as you see it, or you may prefer to oil or wax it.
Measuring:
28 3/4” or 73cm high
33” or 85cm wide
78 1/2” or 200cm long
26 3/4” or 68cm under height
2” or 5cm thick top
10” or 26cm from end to sledge foot
Delivery to most England, Wales and Scotland addresses at £65, but please send me your postcode if you are a bit remote or coastal as it could be more...would also need a hand lifting the top! Or you are very welcome to collect from me in Uppingham, Rutland Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
