Early 20th.c. William & Mary style high back settee c.1920. Shaped backrest and roll-over arms with swept fronts over a sprung seat with two loose feather filled cushions, all in a rich claret red chenille with gold piping. Raised on an exceptional base with turned and carved legs joined with shaped and moulded stretchers. Retaining the original distressed gilt paintwork. Excellent condition, solid and sturdy and very comfortable, with clean covers.
