19thc.Oil Painting Arundel Castle Cattle Watering
We are pleased to be able to offer for sale this beautiful oil on canvas painted by the Victorian artist ALBERT DUNINGTON born 1860 and died 1928.
The painting depicts some cows watering in the River Arun, with Arundel Castle in West Sussex, silhouetted against the sunset streaked sky, in the background.

SIGNATURE
The artist has signed the painting with his initials in the lower right hand corner with his initials A.D.
ALBERT DUNINGTON B1860-D1928
Albert Dunington painted in oils and in watercolours, specialising in landscapes, coastal scenes and animals.
He was born in Lenton, Nottsingham and later lived in Manchester at 45 Warwick Street. He exhibited several times in Nottingham Castle Museum (Nottingham Society of Artists) and later at Manchester City Art Gallery.
His surname was often mis-catalogued with two "n"s.
He is listed in The Painters in the Northern Counties of England and Wales by Dennis Child and in The Dictionary of British Artists.
FRAME
A beautiful quality decorative wooden gilt frame has been recently fitted which enhances the appearance wonderfully and is wired and ready to hang.

Height 30 Inches (75.9cm)
Width 22 Inches (55.55cm)
CONDITION
Very good. There are no repairs to the canvas which is in good clean condition, with no paint loss. There is only very slight craquelure commensurate with age.
