19thc Tri-form base coffee table with glass top
A late 19thc superb tri-form base coffee table with circular glass top. This is a highly decorative piece of excellent quality.
This table conists of a base with three finely carved chimera (a mythological creature commonly with a lions head & wings) formed from the finest quality solid mahogany.
These stand on a mahogany base with an ebonised moulding.
The central column section has applied decoration with pateras.
The glass top has been added to give this piece a modern twist. The glass top sits on the base on black baise.
Some photographs have been taken without the glass top to show more detail of the base (due to the reflections caused while photographing).
This table could be used as a practical table or simply as a very elegant statement piece.
