Superb late 19th.c. teak seaman’s chest c.1890. A very good example of the form retaining the original canvas cloth on the lid and splendid large tarred rope handles fixed to the chest with brackets featuring a carved star and diamond motif. With a separate hinged compartment inside for smaller items. Excellent colour and condition, simply cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
