19thC French Faience Poodle Dog Tobacco Jar
Charming mid/late 19th century French faience tobacco jar/humidor modelled as a standing poodle. Pale blue ground with shades of blue swirls to represent his fur, he wears a blue collar with tag. The face is very nicely painted as are his paws. The lid as his head sits on the shoulders with a deep flange to the jar. Marked to the base with an interlinked L and C I believe and the number 907.
He measures 27cm high, and 14cm wide and deep. Condition is very good there is a small glaze chip to his collar at the rim, see final photo but no other damage or restoration and very light surface wear. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
