Beautiful and rare 19th.c. Chinese cabinet. Standing 68″ tall with four slim little drawers across the top over three cupboards and raised on a separate stand. Moulded hardwood frame set with beautifully figured elm veneered panels on pine groundwork. Original decorative brass bindings to the front edges and corners, repeated on the corner points of each door and echoed in the hinges and handles. Solid elm sides and low stand with a shaped apron and legs, also with decorative brasswork to the front. Pine backboards with iron straps. Interior has been previously lined with 20th.c. Chinese script newsprint. Excellent condition with a particularly good colour and patina to the front. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
