A fine quality 19thc carved box settle.The back having three panels carved with portrait roundels to the centre, surround by foliage and storks / cranes. above which is a carved frieze depicting foliage and mythical creatures. The carved arms are topped with carved columns depicting opposing male and female bust's. A plain seat lifts to reveal a compartment beneath. To the front base are four carved panel's depicting mythical birds eating from a vase of fruit. Plain side panels.

In good condition, lovely colour.

~Approx. 57" wide x 57.5" high x 25" deep. Height to seat 18.5", depth of seat 14.5".
