A wonderfully bold and pretty freestanding satin birch chamber writing table….not stamped but attributed to Gillows. The beautifully figured top with inset flap opening to a fitted stationary compartment over a panelled frieze to three sides fronted by a single full width drawer with original turned wooden handles ..lock replaced. All raised on shaped turned and tapering legs down to the original brass and steel caps and castors.
It is very unusual to find this model in satin birch!
(And it stands beautifully!)
