Splendid mid 19th.c. adjustable chair side reading or music stand c.1870. Walnut book holder (14″ x 10″) with brass page stays, height and angle adjustable with a lockable ball and socket joint at the rear and a moveable joint in the arm, itself mounted on a telescopic brass column. On a crisply cast heavy iron base for stability with lion’s paw feet. Excellent original condition.
