A very impressive extending table, possibly Scottish. This amazing table has seven leaves and will certainly seat 16. Could seat up to 20 if being friendly. It is so flexible it shuts to a six seater oval on a stunning pedestal and extends with the further 7 leaves. It can of course be used with any combination from no leaves at all to the full set. From the early half of the 19thC it is superb quality. There are four support legs to ensure that it is good and solid when extended. The table is quite tidy and could easily be used with just a tidy up, we could offer this in that condition for only £5800.Not all the leaves are original to this table but are a good match and seem to have come from another or other similar antique tables. Hence its not £10,000. Fully restored and repolished it will add £850 plus VAT.We have two sets of balloon backs that are identical that would make a set of 16 chairs to go with this table.
