Wonderful mottled glass trade beads, made in the 19th century in one of the Murano workshops. Each bead has been individually hand made and measures 2cms (0.75ins) on average. The beads are a lovely, sooty black opaque glass, flecked with flashes of yellow, red and white. Visually, the beads are subtle and compelling. They are in excellent undamaged condition and would look beautiful either worn or as interior decoration. These beads had travelled far from home and were sourced in the Himalayas.
Dimensions (with hanging cord) 56 cms (22ins) Each antique that I sell has been selected for it's quality, condition and visual appeal.
