A lovely light coloured sycamore bowl, sound, solid, decorative and useful. Somewhere to keep your carpet bowls between games or just as a fruit bowl. In a minimalist setting just beautiful as it is. To the underside is a noticeable groove which has no depth and appears to have been made with a fairly blunt instrument, it has a bottom to the groove unlike a crack. You can see the disturbed grain tipped up along the groove in places. Not visible from normal view, you would have to get down to table level to see it.
