William Westwood (19th century). Portrait of a young woman, Eliza. Charcoal. Signed lower left, and dated 8th November 1828 lower right, titled centre. A note verso written by a family descendent in 1939 states the subject is Elizabeth Edwards of Tyddyn Mawr, Dolgellau and that she married the artist in 1829.


Measurements outside frame - 27cm - 32cm.


Overall good condition. The drawing is a bit grubby under the glass but expected for the age.

Available to view and buy at Great Grooms antique center in Hungerford.
