These are original pencil drawings with watercolour of Art Deco furniture designs by William George Hilling who designed for a number of well-known English furniture manufacturers during the 1930s including Beautility and Nathan, both based in London, and Eclipse Cabinet Works in Alcester.

The drawings are of oak bedroom suites which include two wardrobes and a dressing table. Blank verso. There are four drawings in this grouping and the price is per drawing.

We have acquired a large archive of Hilling's designs as well as a number of contractual letters with the furniture makers. Copies of some of these letters can be provided with the original designs. W G Hilling was an accomplished artist as well as a designer and a number of his pen and ink drawings of buildings and city views were published in the latter part of his career.

Dimensions: Paper 22 x 29cm

Condition: The drawings are on thick paper with an even discolouration. There is the odd foxing spot.

He can deliver to most places on mainland England and Wales and, depending on where he is on his schedule, it may take a few days or up to 4 weeks. Other couriers are available for Scotland and North Wales or where a shorter time frame is required. Purchases can also be collected in person from the Tunbridge Wells area in SE England.
