We are selling this pastel portrait of Isabella Brandt who was the first wife of the painter Peter Paul Reubens and was a Flemish artists model who sadly died of the plague in 1626 when she was 34 years old. She wears a dark dress with white ruffled collar and brightly coloured necklace which sets off her pale complexion and framed in gilt wood frame.

Measuring 23 inches x 17 inches (overall size). In good original condition appropriate for age. Please see all photographs as they form part of description.
