A superb 19th Century padouk campaign trunk with original twin brass heart shaped locks, fittings and side carrying handles. The inner tray lifts out to reveal an exceptionally clean interior. The planked top is inset with brass initials, W.S the original owner of the trunk. The condition is very good, there are a few marks to the top as can be expected in a piece of this age and there is a small piece missing from the side of the removable tray. The colour and patina are excellent. Lots more photos of this trunk are available upon request. A very useful piece to use as a stylish coffee table or as additional storage anywhere in the home.
