An excellent 19th Century French fruitwood extending dining table. This beautiful table is raised on shaped legs and has a decorative frieze, the leaves pull out to form a long table to seat 12 people. The planked top with cleated ends has the wonderful mellow, golden tone only acquired over many years. The condition is very good, it is very solid and stand firmly with no wobbles. There has been a historic repair to a small area of the plank top, this is minor and merely adds to the character. There is wear to one leg, again minor. Both are clearly shown in the photographs. This superb French dining table would be a wonderful addition to any kitchen or dining room and also makes the perfect table for large family celebrations and parties.
