A fine and handsome 19th Century, plum pudding mahogany, French bureau plat, having a nice old, tooled leather writing surface and two pull out side slides.

The central drawer is flanked by two side drawers and all are decorated with fine quality ormolu escutcheons. It has a key. The top is supported by eight legs with lovely, decorative ormolu collars and joined by decorative cross stretchers with a central ormolu rosette. Each leg terminates in a square block with ormolu moulded edges and standing on bun feet.
