An extremely attractive Chinese elm altar table, dating to the late 19th century.

The table boasts a cleated top with moulded edges, all above round elm supports. The wood is full of character throughout with gnarls and knots. The top has darkening in areas from years of use but retains a lovely glossy patina.

Please note we have another 19th century elm altar table in stock which is a near pair (being slightly shorter) to this example.
