A 19th Century continental ( probably Italian) painted and calved gilt Cabinet dating from c 1880. The top section with profusely carved and gilded cornice above a glazed door with gilded shaped moulding containing four shaped mahogany shelves. The sides with shaped panels.
The lower cupboard section with corresponding shaped panelled drawers and doors, the cupboard containing a single shelf. The whole resting on small shaped cabriole legs. Excellent condition, the old paint worn with some old retouching of paint on the door panels where the it has flaked off ( see photos). Original locks with two original keys fitting both drawers and glazed cabinet door.
