Good looking single pedestal desk with a flight of 4 drawers to the right in a pleasing lighter tone of oak compared to some. We sold a very similar desk around 6 months ago labelled Gillows. It’s a neat desk of smaller proportions than some of the same era.

Workshop report – The desk sits firm with no wobbles or repairs. The original buff coloured leather top is historically marked and worn. The four drawers have their original oak handles in situ and are running fine with the runners waxed. The inside of the drawers have historic marks but nothing out of place. We have a little loss of veneer to the base to the side but not new. Expect a genuine quality 1930s desk with history and wear.

When purchasing from us we include delivery within mainland UK, excluding Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Isles, in the purchase price and liaise with you to ensure delivery is as swift and as smooth as possible. Items are delivered by private courier, usually this is a one man service. If you require a two person delivery, please let us know. Smaller items are wrapped and packed (into recycled boxes where possible) and sent via a national courier service, tracking details will be provided once an item has been collected from us.

Terms and conditions

If you are not happy with an item you have 14 days to return it. This is providing that the item is returned, in the condition it left us, within 14 days. Please note that items must be wrapped and insured, with the return cost being covered by you. Once the item is back with us, having had a once over in the workshop, your refund will be issued.

On the rare occasion that an item is damaged in transit, please notify us immediately or within 48 hours and provide us with details and images so we can best remedy the situation.
