A great quality 1930s French walnut bureau plat with a tooled leather insert, and moulded edging. Having an arrangement of five drawers below and good use of veneers to the drawers and side panels. Two pull out slides, with delicate pull handles to the sides, having tooled leather surfaces. Raised on turned and stop fluted tapering legs. Makers stamp is in the drawer 'Maison Leger, 28 Place des Vosges, Paris'.

Could easily be used in the centre of a room with its quality appearance on all sides. Highly versatile as a working desk.
