Circa 1914 12" GE Collar Oscillator. Highly Collectable For Its Unique Oscillating Design, This Characteristic Was Also A Downfall. Oscillation Is Engaged And Disengaged By Turning A Brass Collar Located On The Neck Of This Model. Turning This Collar Raises And Lowers The Motor Thus Engaging And Disengaging Oscillation. The Majority Of The Complex Gearing Mechanism Is Housed Inside The "Nose" Of The Motor. The Concealed Gearbox Was Not Easy To Maintain And Many Examples When Found Are Badly Worn And Not Operational. This Wonderful Example Was Restored Roughly 15 Years Ago By A Lifelong Collector. The Collector (Due To Issues Related With Age) Was Forced To Part With This Lifelong Treasure. Paint Appears To Be A Thick Automotive Enamel With Deep Color And Bright Shine, Brass Was Professionally Polished And Lacquered. Fan Operates As Designed On 3 Distinct Speeds. Oscillation Engages Correctly By Lower Collar As Instructed. Original Collectors Name Will Be Shared With New Owner. Excellent Example!!
