1911 Royal Doulton King George V Coronation Plate

A beautiful old original antique Royal Doulton Staffordshire commemorative flow blue transferware blue and white armorial plate for the English coronation of King George V and Queen Mary in 1911. It has their portraits in center and the countries of the empire around the border: Australia, British Africa, Canada, India, New Foundland an New Zealand. It is in stunning original condition with no cracks, chips or repair.

Coronation of His Majesty King George V
June 22nd 1911.
King George V 1865-1936 was King of the United Kingdom and British Dominions and Emperor of India from 1910, after the death of his father Edward VII 1841-1910. He ruled until his death in 1936. His wife, Mary of Teck 1867-1953 was Queen consort of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions and Empress of India. She was informally known as "May", after the month of her birth.
This beautiful old piece was found in Totnes, Devon, England. with a large collection of other royal commemorative material that we are listing here on our site.
