A good early Georgian walnut bureau with herring bone inlay and all original pierced brass handles and escutcheons. The cross banded and herring bone fall opens to reveal an interior consisting of 7 small drawers, 8 pigeon holes and 2 tall drawers with a lockable centre cupboard which contains another small drawer. Standing on the original off set shaped bracket feet with cross grain moulding. The ends with book matched walnut veneers and broad cross banding. Condition- Very good for the age, some cross grain banding between drawers has been repaired and some old hand sawn veneer capping to the base of feet (not the pine).
