Large mid 18th.c. oak mule chest c.1760. Fine example of the form with a run of four arched, raised and fielded panels to the front. Flat (rather than panelled) two plank lid with lots of useful storage inside plus two useful drawers in the base. Three panels to the sides, original oak back and floorboards, oak drawer linings. Handles and escutcheon plates are period replacements. Excellent condition and particularly good colour and patina. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops
