Lignum Vitae Treen Goblet Mortar
Lovely mid 18th century lignum vitae mortar of waisted form with turned curved rings to decorate the bowl and domed, stepped foot. A very nice, unusual shape with good colouring and grain.
It measures just over 14cm (5 1/2") high and 9.5cm (3 3/4") wide.
Condition is very good: There is a small nick to the rim and some nibbles around the edge of the base from years of use. A split to one side of the base and 2 finer ones others under the base along the grain. In good, solid condition. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque. If you prefer to pay by Stripe please go to our website where we offer that option and additionally options to "Pay in 30 days" and to pay in 3 instalments, all securely supported.
