18thc elm mule chest, possibly Irish
An 18thc elm 2 drawer mule chest, of superb colour, possibly Irish.
There are 3 fielded panels on the front with carved foliate decoration with the original steel escutcheon plate.
The 2 drawers are pine lined with original brass knobs, escutcheon plates & steel locks.
The back of the chest is panelled & each side has a large, fielded plain panel.
The interior is pine lined on the base & back boards & it stands on square feet.
