18thC Welsh Cage Love Spoon Treen Lovespoon
A rare and very beautiful late 18th/early 19th century Welsh fruitwood Love Spoon of wonderful design and form. This gorgeous spoon displays superb colour and patina throughout and is in excellent original condition.
Featuring a cage running the full length of the handle encapsulating two balls, with geometric chip carving to the front and gently shaped top to the handle. The bowl is in excellent order and well formed and shows the carving marks to the rear superbly.
A wonderful example in every aspect.
Length 20.5cm
