A small late 18th Century Walnut side cabinet dating from c 1790. The figured walnut cross banded top with chamfered front edges above an ebony and satin wood chequered top rail above two dummy drawers with geometric pattern ebony and satin wood stringing and original gilt brass handles and escutcheons. The interior with a single removable shelf, the whole resting on tapering slender supports. This cabinet is not a converted chest and was made as a side cabinet.
Excellent condition, with minor marks and scratches consistent with age and use. Fine colour and patina.
