A wonderful burr walnut chest of drawers from the mid 18th century. Well made in solid walnut and attractive burr walnut veneers onto a solid oak carcas. The top is fitted with eye catching book-matched quarter veneers and inlaid with stringing to the edges and finished with thumb nail moldings. There is a series of 2 short over 3 long, graduated drawers, each fitted with lovely brass handles and escutcheons. The drawer fronts are cross banded. The whole chest stands well on solid bracket feet. This chest oozes charm and character, We have had it cleaned and waxed in our workshops and it is now offered for sale in excellent condition, ready to go straight into the home.
