18th C. Georgian Silk Embroidery In Original Frame
A really lovely 18th C. Georgian Silk Embroidery in original oval frame.
The central oval panel depicts a mother or nursemaid gazing lovingly at a small child. This is enclosed in a 'wreath' of finely embroidered small flowers.
The outer section is a wonderful selection of embroidered wild flowers and foliage. Although there is some fading, the colours remain quite vibrant after ~ 250 years.
The silk embroidery is showing signs of age-related wear in some areas, however the overall impression is still a wonderfully charming and quite rare embroidered Georgian picture.
Would look wonderful in a nursery or as a decorative period embroidery in any room of the home.
Satisfaction Guarantee & Returns Policy.
Returns are accepted within 7 days. A full refund will be given provided the item is received in the same condition as when sold. Buyer is responsible for return postage/shipping costs, appropriate packaging and insurance.
