Unusual 17th.c. style high back two seater couch c.1890. Of singular design, having a wing back over open arms and with fabric covered arm supports, legs and stretchers. Original burgundy velevet uphostery with a long tassel braid running below the arms and seat and feather seat cushions. Condition is good with some wear to upholstery typical of age. The worst of the damage is to the seat cushions which could be easily recovered in a similar or contrasting fabric.
