Long set of twelve antique mahogany shield back dining chairs including two carvers, all in excellent condition. These chairs are Sheraton style, very elegant & at the same time they are strong & sturdy.

They date from around the 1930’s period & have just been re-polished. All the drop in seats have just been re-upholstered with our regular natural cotton fabric.

These chairs have shield shaped backs, with a wheat sheaf design at the tops & a Satinwood Urn inlaid design in the middle. The legs are tapered with spade end feet & there are many cross stretchers joining the legs which give them more strength.

It’s very hard to find a nice set of 12 chairs like these. I very rarely get a set with more than 8 chairs.

Depth – 22 inches, 56 cm
Height – 39 inches, 99 cm
