Welsh Victorian Twist Tobacco Tins
A rare and very sweet pair of Victorian Welsh Twist Tobacco Jars
It has often been the misconception that these jars were made from used shell casings, in fact they were made as an entirely stand alone product and what beautiful things they are.
Produced from brass with tin liner they are often associated the with miners of South Wales, however their use was far spread and many are found in the farming regions of West Wales.
A lovely piece of Welsh social history metalware that displays beautifully.
Height 14cm Diameter 7cm
