Wartime Wooden Notice Board In Original Paint war wartime bletchley %%alt5%%
A notice board with an important historical background. The notice board was recently removed from the Victorian stable block of an old manor house that served Bletchley Park during the war. That workshop was little changed from a its wartime days since the 1940s where it had been used to make parts for Colossus - the wartime “computer” used by the code breakers at Bletchley Park. The board was there during the war years and removed only a short while ago when the current inhabitant of the workshop there recently moved out. A visitor to the workshop, who had worked there during the war, visited many years later and remembered the board from his wartime days and pointed out that it was often used to display rude wartime cartoons.

The board is in the original chocolate paint finish with period lettering to the top.
