Vintage Tree Of Life Rug, Persian, Decorative
This is a vintage 'Tree of Life' rug. A Persian, woven decorative hall or lounge carpet, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1960.
Of Dozar size, this profusely detailed rug measures 125cm x 200cm (49.25" x 78.25")
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order with light wear present
Rich in colour, the burgundy red ground hosts a dark midnight blue tree motif
Offering a comfortable underfoot feel for the hallway or lounge
The large tree of life motif hosts an array of flora and fauna in fine detail
Flowering vines are visited by birds, whilst deer, sheep and big cats flourish around it
The tramline border as vigourously detailed as the central medallion
Finished with bands of loose tassels at each end - some losses present
