Victorian Pewter Tankard - Imperial Pint Measure
This is a very handsome Victorian pewter imperial one pint measure. Shaped like a tankard and having a brass rim, this was not intended to drink from but was used to check, as a measure of accuracy, liquids dispensed and sold.
It has a Victorian verification stamp and a capacity stamp either side of the handle join.
It is nicely hand engraved with the words 'Imperial Measure'.
In very good condition with one or two slight indentations commensurate with age. Excellent patination AUTUMN SALE
