A GOOD, RARE SCOTTISH MEDAL, UNIVERSITAS SANCTI ANDREE, UNIVERSITY OF ST ANDREWS c1931,
A very good and rare, Scottish Bronze Medal.
This medal was awarded by St Andrews University 1931-32.
The bronze medallion featuring the words "UNIVERSITAS SANCTI ANDREE / MCCCCXI" around the circumference, enclosing a design of the interior of a medieval hall. The reverse features a plain outer circumference and an inner wreath. The outer band is engraved "GENERAL HEBREW" and "FREDERICK KENNEDY, M.A." and the inner wreath "1931-32".
The medal is complete with the original issue jeweller's box from Alexander Kirkwood & Son, Medalists, 9 St James Square, Edinburgh. Estd 1826. This firm still in existence today.
