ICONIC DUGDILLS LIGHT - DUGDILL PATENT RARE EARLY VINTAGE INDUSTRIAL BRASS AND ENAMEL ARTICULATING BANKERS DESK LAMP, Circa 1910, 48.5cm high.

A rare, iconic & early vintage industrial Dugdills solid brass & enamel fully adjustable articulating bankers lamp. A beautiful and seldom seen lamp with classic Dugdill ‘daisy head’ locking cogs & original green and white enamel tilting shade stamped Dugdills Patent to base. Its rarity is further enhanced with all original parts being present & working.

The lamp is in fine untouched condition with original patina - for complete accuracy there has been some very minor historic enamel restoration to some of the inside edges of the enamel shade.

John Dugdill began manufacturing lamps in Stockport, Manchester from 1907. The family run firm manufactured a wide range of electrical fittings in the first half of the 20th century and are considered by many collectors to be the pinnacle of early industrial lighting.

Size: 48.5 cm high (with arms at maximum extension) and weighing 7 kg in total.

Condition: In excellent original condition with original enamel shade, locking cogs and cast iron weighted base. In full working order - rewired & ready to use with antique style silk flex.
