This is a vintage pair of Chinese-style temple jar ceramic lamps with enamel and gilt decoration on a lustre glaze background on black turned wooden bases, acquired in 1993 from Liberty London. This rare design of overlapping paisley-type shapes hand-enamelled in green, blue and white owes more to Indian influence than Chinese.
These lamps catch the light beautifully and would look fabulous in either traditional or modern interiors.

We would recommend pairing these lamps with 35cm tapered drum shades (as shown in one of the photographs).

Condition: These lamps are in perfect condition without damage. They have had new plugs fitted and have been tested and passed by our electrician. They are provided with a generous length of gold PVC covered flex.
