This is a fine pair of French Art Deco metal bison bookends in their original green patinated finish on black marble bases. The detail in the hair and musculature is particularly noteworthy. Though unsigned, the design is clearly influenced by the work of Max Le Verrier.

The strength and majesty of the bison are captured in these sculptures and they would display very well on their own on a shelf, table, desk or mantlepiece.

Dimensions: Width 19 cm x Depth 9 cm x Height 10 cm
Weight 1.32 & 1.38 to give a total of 2.7kg

Condition: They are in excellent antique condition. There are some very minor losses to the green finish. The marble bases are without chips.
