Maspoli of Canterbury Mercury Barometer
A larger 10" dial mahogany mercury wheel barometer with swan neck pediment and original brass finial. Choice grain to the case with hygrometer, thermometer, convex mirror, main dial & level. Well engraved silvered dials. The level signed 'P Maspoli, Canterbury'.
P Maspoli of Canterbury is recorded in Banfileds' 'Barometer Makers and Retailers' book as working from 1820 - 1850. This example dates to circa 1835.
